Margaret McKee

You may have noticed the Castle flag at half-mast on the first week in January 2024. It was to honour the funeral of Margaret McKee. The FOPC Board would like to convey our deepest sympathy to Margaret’s family and all her friends. Margaret was one of the founders and long-term supporters of Friends of Portencross Castle. She passed away peacefully in the early hours of 20th December at Crosshouse Hospital. Her husband, Bobby, was also a very active supporter and FOPC Board member. Margaret and Bobby had three sons and eight grandchildren. They bought, renovated and lived in Farland House in Portencross. Margaret will be remembered as a graceful, intelligent and joyful woman who was eternally curious. She will be much missed.
