Part time work is available on a fixed term seasonal contract basis for the season April – September 2025, for a Castle Steward, to join a team of four.
Times of opening will be daily during school and public holidays and every weekend between April and September.
Daily times of opening are 11a.m. until 4.00p.m. and stewards work an extra 15 mins at each end to facilitate opening /closing procedures.
Key responsibilities include cleaning & set up, security and health & safety, working with and supporting our volunteers, to provide a good visitor experience.
The castle is open for approximately 100 days during the season April – September , and stewards are expected to undertake an equal share of the weekday and weekend shifts.
Current pay rate is £11.90 per hour ( review pending)
