This year, we were delighted that FOPC was able to join with our local West Kilbride primary school to organise an Art Competition themed around the Castle. All stages (P1-P7) in the school took part. We were very pleased with the variety of artwork we received.
The winners artwork was displayed on a board for the duration of the Art Show. The picture above shows the display.
We were able to award eight prizes of vouchers for the D and B Gallery art and card shop in West Kilbride and some Castle goodies. Many thanks go to the May Lockhart Trust for their generous funding of the prize vouchers. It was hard to choose the winners and we had to give a special mention to four other children whose work was included on the display.
We hope you enjoy looking at the work and we thank the children of West Kilbride Primary and the staff for their participation.
Parents or guardians and children can collect their artwork from the stewards at the Castle from lunchtime on Tuesday 2nd July.
